Roger went in search for his father in Outlander season 7, episode 11. Here are his best moments from the episode.

Roger and Buck headed out on their own adventure in Outlander season 7, episode 11. We take a look at Roger’s best moments from the episode.

After learning that Jerry MacKenzie is in the past, Roger knew that he had to go out to find him. For whatever reason, Jerry is in 1739 and the stones brought Roger and Buck here. It looks like Jemmy is with his grandfather. At least, that’s what the two men have to assume.

While there wasn’t a lot of action, this episode did bring us some interesting and big moments for Roger. Here are my three favorite.

Roger sharing what he remembers of his father

Roger admits that he didn’t know his father. He just knows what happened from the stories he was told. It’s clear that he’s always believed that there was something mysterious behind the disappearance. It’s almost as if he realized there was a chance Jerry went through the stones, especially once he found out about time travel.

However, his dad hasn’t been on his mind much. It’s not like in the books where Roger thinks about his dad now and then. Now that he has a hint of meeting his dad, he’s going to take it!

Buying the gem and more information

Roger and Buck need gems if they want to get back through the stone to 1980. I love that Buck just wants to make sure Roger can get back. He’s not too worried about himself in the past. He needs to get Roger and Jemmy back. But back to Roger.

Roger knows that he needs to get back, so he buys a gem. This isn’t for him or Jemmy, though. It’s for his dad. He wants to get his dad back to the 1940s. He needs to change this history. If only he knew what was to come!

Trying to play nice for information

After buying information from the tinker, Roger and Buck head out again to find Jerry. This leads them to a farmer, who most definitely has Jerry’s jacket. Roger would love to get answers in the quickest way possible, but he knows that isn’t going to work. He needs to play nice.

I love how we’ve seen Roger work to fit in the time period. It’s helped with having Buck by him, and he’s even turned to Buck now and then for some help on handling situations. I would love to see more of these two teaming up together.
