There’S 1 Outlander Spinoff I Want Even More Than Blood Of My Blood, And Season 7 Perfectly Set It Up

Outlander season 7 left off on one of the biggest plot twists in the TV show’s history. I can’t wait for the series to pick back up with season 8, even if it is the final installment. Claire (Caitríona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) have had their struggles over the years in Outlander, and I’m so glad they’re entering the final season together, focusing on their family. However, their family histories are a part of the Outlander universe that could be explored further. I can think of many potential spinoffs that would be perfect following the season 7 finale.

The Outlander: Blood of My Blood spinoff TV show is slated to premiere in the summer of 2025, and while I can’t wait to see what the series has in store for Claire and Jamie’s parents, I can’t help thinking about other potential spinoffs. While every season of Outlander has touched upon characters and storylines I want to know more about, season 7 was full of more unexpected twists and intriguing plot points than ever. Of all these compelling elements throughout Outlander, I think a spinoff show that focuses on Claire and Jamie’s long-lost daughter, Faith, has the most promise.

The Next Outlander Spinoff Should Be An Exploration Of Faith’s Life After Outlander Season 2

Outlander season 7 revealed that their daughter Faith lived

In Outlander season 2, I was devastated when Jamie and Claire lost their firstborn daughter, Faith, who arrived stillborn while the couple was in France. It’s a horrible loss for both of them, as much of their decisions as parents and hardships in building their family were colored by the fact that they lost a child. However, in the Outlander season 7 finale, “A Hundred Thousand Angels,” it comes to light that Faith might not have died after all. Claire believes Faith might be alive when Jane’s little sister, Frances, sings a song Claire sang to Faith.

Although this isn’t part of Diana Gabaldon’s work in the books, I appreciate the twist and think that this deeper connection between Frances and the Frasers makes sense.

While this alone doesn’t necessarily mean Frances’ mother was Faith, Frances also had a locket with the name Faith on it, making me believe this is more than a coincidence. Although this isn’t part of Diana Gabaldon’s work in the books, I appreciate the twist and think that this deeper connection between Frances and the Frasers makes sense. However, since we don’t have any insight into what Faith’s life looked like after she was separated from her parents, it would be incredible to see what happened to her in a spinoff.

Finding Out Faith Might Have Lived Was The Biggest Reveal Of Outlander Season 7

Of all the show’s shocking twists, Faith’s existence was one I never saw coming

Faith’s identity and the confirmation that she was Claire and Jamie’s daughter is only one of the biggest questions Outlander season 8 needs to answer. How this will impact the way Claire and Jamie raise Frances and how their daughter was taken from them so many years ago are huge mysteries that need to be uncovered in the next season of Outlander. However, since there are already so many moving parts and storylines that Outlander season 8 needs to wrap up, it would be ideal if Faith got her own spinoff dedicated to her experience.

I will be interested to see if Outlander season 8 makes us wait to find out if Frances’ mother is truly the Faith of Claire and Jamie’s past. I was especially surprised by this turn of events since it came in the last few minutes of the episode, seemingly out of nowhere. By this point, I knew that Claire was safely out of harm’s way medically, and I could tell that William would recover from Jane’s death. However, the Faith reveal was a tie-in from so many seasons ago that it wasn’t at the forefront of my mind.

A Spinoff Exploring Faith’s Life Could Tell Her Full Story In A Way That Outlander Can’t

Outlander can’t give Faith’s history the time and attention it deserves

Though it would be shocking if Outlander season 8 didn’t touch upon Faith’s past and give the audience a glimpse of her story, I don’t expect to get a satisfying explanation. There isn’t enough time in the upcoming season to give Faith’s story its due, and I wouldn’t want the show to sacrifice any of the existing storylines that have so much to offer. Additionally, it would be out of character for Outlander to spend a lot of time on flashbacks and add yet another timeline to the already action-packed plotting.

Even if Blood of My Blood and a Faith spinoff were airing simultaneously, fans would tune in for both.

However, a spinoff dedicated to Faith would be the perfect solution to all of these problems. While I’m excited for Blood of My Blood, I don’t want that to be the last show in the Outlander universe. Even if Blood of My Blood and a Faith spinoff were airing simultaneously, fans would tune in for both. Additionally, there’s an entire lifetime of stories to be mined from Faith’s experiences, even more if it’s revealed that she’

s a time traveler. It’s unfortunate that Faith has already passed by the time Jamie and Claire realize she had a full life in Outlander.

Finding Out About Faith’s Experience In The Outlander Universe Would Be A Full-Circle Moment

Her spinoff could be the perfect foil to Claire’s adventures in Outlander

Claire’s journey in Outlander season 8 will be one of the most important parts of the final season, as we’ve been on this adventure with her since she was first transported through the stones. Following Faith’s story and finding out about her life as a young woman, and how this is similar and different from Claire’s narrative, would have an inherent connection to the heart and soul of Outlander while distinguishing itself. Additionally, since Faith is Jane and Frances’ mother, it’s clear that she had a romance of her own.

Though romance isn’t the only compelling piece of Outlander, I would be lying if I said this wasn’t a huge draw of the TV show. While I would want to see every phase of Faith’s life, not just her romantic entanglements, a spinoff that centers her character would likely elevate the relationship arcs. Outside of Faith herself, it’s common knowledge that Jamie and Claire have never been able to raise their children together in Outlander. A Faith spinoff wouldn’t be the same as seeing Jamie and Claire be parents together, but it would be an emotional addition to the franchise.
