Home And Away Confirms Full Details Of Dramatic Double Kidnapping Plot

Home and Away has confirmed the full details of the dramatic double kidnapping plot set to air this week in Australia (and in May in the UK).

We already knew that Ziggy and Dean, who left Summer Bay in 2023 following the birth of their daughter Izzy, are back for the storyline, which sees Mackenzie and Levi visit Queensland.

As detailed in TV Week, Dean doesn’t get on with Levi at first, judging him for being unfaithful previously. All the while, they are being secretly watched by a pair of escaped prisoners.

Ziggy forces the two to talk and sort out their issues, which provides an opportunity for the kidnappers to hold the women at knifepoint and bundle them into a car. Their plan is to make it to the border, but won’t tell Ziggy and Mack what’s going to happen after that.

Ziggy tells the kidnappers that she is pregnant and has morning sickness, and while Mack plays along with what she thinks is a ruse, she soon realises that Ziggy really is expecting…

After being unable to stop the car driving away, Dean hotwires a car and gives chase, with Levi in tow. Unfortunately for them, they can’t get help from the police in chasing down the stolen car, as they’re in a stolen car themselves.

As Dean and Levi close in on the prison escapees, they prepare for a showdown. Will everyone make it out alive?

Dean actor Patrick O’Connor told the publication: “It’s a serious situation, and Dean and Levi have to navigate this drama together.

“Levi is very straight and narrow, then [there’s] Dean, who’s just not that way.”

He added that the duo’s differences, and the realisation about the police, slots in a “bit of comedy amid all the drama” that’s “good for the audience”.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5, with repeat screenings at 6pm on 5STAR and first-look screenings at 6.30pm on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in the UK.

In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 and streams on 7Plus.
