Gwendlyn Brown Queiroz, who starred in TLC’s “Sister Wives” and wed Beatriz Queiroz in July 2023, revealed to Janelle Brown, Christine Brown, and a few of her siblings that she doesn’t believe her father Kody Brown loves her. In a scene from Sunday’s episode, which was shot in the spring of 2022, Queiroz is having a visit with Christine, Janelle, and a few of Janelle’s children while Christine is in Flagstaff, Arizona, where the family resides.

When Queiroz remarks sarcastically, “Oh my God, imagine your father loving you,” the family members are discussing the split that has separated Kody and his wife Robyn Brown from the rest of the family.

Her half-sister Savanah Brown (who is Kody and Janelle’s youngest child) tries to comfort her.

“I still think he loves you, he’s just angry at you for like, no reason,” Savanah tells Queiroz.

In the scene, many of the adult Brown children reflected on an argument that occurred between Robyn and some of the kids over a gift exchange that was supposed to happen over the 2021 holiday season. Robyn, who has young children and follows strict rules for COVID-19 safety, wanted the gift exchange to happen virtually while many other family members pushed for it to happen in person.

In confessional interviews, many Brown family members said that old wounds opened up about Robyn and her kids feeling victimized by the rest of the family. She decided that her kids wouldn’t participate in the exchange (and it’s unclear if the event occurred at all).

Kody remarks in an episode candid interview about how Robyn has been handled, “All of you are just kind of jerks.” I’d rather not be near you. And I’m fed up with it. Additionally, I don’t want to call them or speak with them.

In the episode’s video, Queiroz seems to indicate that Kody doesn’t love her. Kody doesn’t directly answer. He claims that he shares all of their unfavorable sentiments and that he does not distinguish between his feelings for Janelle and Christine and those he has for the majority of his adult children.

When asked about Queiroz’s feelings, Christine responds, “I’ve told Gwendlyn for years that her dad loves her. “But it’s not my job to convey Kody’s love to Gwendlyn, it’s his job.”

The statement made by Queiroz’s half-brother Garrison Brown that Kody’s adult children no longer require a father figure in their lives hurts. “I would like to say that I didn’t care, but it still hurts,” Queiroz adds.

In November 2021, Kody and Christine made their separation public. A year later, Janelle announced her breakup with Kody. In January 2023, Meri Brown, his first wife, also officially announced her separation from Kody. He currently has just one wife, Robyn.

“Sister Wives” airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
