Sister Wives: Kody Made Claims About Christine (He’s The Problem Because He’s An Absentee Parent)

Sister Wives Kody Brown has made claims bashing Christine Brown’s parenting style, but Kody has really been the absentee parent throughout the years.
Although Kody Brown’s former connection with Christine Brown has been more thoroughly addressed in season 18 of Sister Wives, the allegations Kody has made about Christine don’t seem to hold much water. Christine has been thriving in her life on her own since deciding to leave Kody during Sister Wives season 17. Kody, on the other hand, has struggled to control his emotions as he works through his bereavement, enabling his annoyances to flow over into his other relationships. After Christine left the family, Kody’s marriages to Janelle Brown and Meri Brown struck a roadblock, and his resentment over losing her reached an all-time high.
With Christine out of the picture, Kody’s been able to spin whatever stories he’d like about their past and their split. Kody has been quick to rewrite history when it comes to his relationship with Christine, shifting the details of his memories to make Christine look like she was a bad partner. There have been several flashbacks to prior seasons throughout Sister Wives season 18 to fact-check Kody, but in the most recent episode, his revisionist history went too far.

Kody Says Christine Was A Bad Sister Wife

Throughout Sister Wives season 18, Kody has been dealing with tremendous anger toward Christine and the way their relationship played out in its end. It’s shown in all of his actions, even in his other relationships, and made him more hypercritical regarding parenting. Most recently, Kody’s been trying to peddle the argument that Christine was a bad sister wife, not supporting Janelle, Robyn, or Meri when it was needed. Janelle and Robyn tend to disagree with Kody regarding Christine’s behavior. While Kody has been going down that line of thinking, Christine countered by criticizing Kody’s hands-off parenting style.

Christine, Janelle, & Robyn Discuss Kody’s Parenting Style

Each of Kody’s wives has criticized the patriarch of the family at some point during their stay on Sister Wives. In the most recent episode of Sister Wives season 18, his wives responded to Kody’s rapid judgments of their parenting methods. Christine, Robyn, and Janelle all chimed in about Kody’s parenting style and how he treats his kids. Kody has made it plain that he plays favorites by devoting time to some kids while ignoring others, and his spouses have taken note. Even Robyn, whose kids benefited from Kody’s partiality, spoke out against it, saying he ought to be giving his kids equal attention.

Kody Makes His Stance On His Older Children Obvious By Expressing Favoritism

Kody was playing favorites with his children even before Robyn joined the family. Earlier in his marriages with Christine and Janelle, Kody would choose which children he wanted to bring to school or spend time with afterward. He wouldn’t offer an explanation, and when he was questioned, got angry. Now, Kody’s role as an absentee parent in his older children’s lives is a given, but Christine, Robyn, and Janelle called out Kody’s decision to call his younger children a “second chance” when it comes to parenting. The Sister Wives patriarch has had more than enough chances to prove he can parent and has chosen to fail with each chance.
