Sister Wives – 8 Signs That Meri Brown’s A Nasty Person

Sister Wives star Meri Brown has a meek and mild image, but there are hints that she’s got quite a dark side. Is Meri leaning into a villain role?

Sister Wives star Meri Brown often has an “Eeyore” quality, as she tends to hang her head, but sometimes, she shows a little darkness. Meri’s not really so hard done by, and a look under the surface shows that she’s not so innocent. While Kody’s mistreated Meri, she’s done bad things too, but she likes to be perceived as a victim. Kody wouldn’t characterize her that way, and maybe he shouldn’t. Is Meri just pretending to be sad over Kody Brown?

Meri, a Sister Wives season 18 celebrity, is making changes in her life. She’s been stuck in a rut for years, attempting to mend things with a jerk who mistreated her. Onscreen, she now appears to have partially woken up. She’s moving her bed and breakfast from Flagstaff to Utah, which is a start in the right direction, but she’s still trying to patch things up with Kody. She has given up off-screen. It was past time to give up, although Meri might have stopped caring emotionally a long time ago.

8. Meri Cheated On Kody

Meri portrays herself as a victim, although she cheated on Kody. Even if she had her justifications, she was still the one who violated the vows. Meri became engaged with someone who went by the name “Sam,” and she mistook him for a man. The connection was digital. After Meri was coerced into renunciating her “legal wife” designation, it took place. She might have felt guilty after that. All of Kody’s previous wives were jealous since he was obviously madly in love with his fourth wife. Meri may have been lonely, but that’s no excuse for betraying a relationship.
Reality TV show star Meri got dragged for the catfishing debacle, but she downplays it now. At the moment, it’s just too easy to put everything on Kody. He favors Robyn, and by doing so, he’s destroyed the Brown family. While it hasn’t completely unraveled yet in season 18, it’s going to. Robyn will be the sole remaining wife soon enough. In 2016, Meri met “Sam” via Twitter, and struck up a long-distance romance. However, she never actually video chatted with him to confirm his identity. She really should have, as “Sam” is a woman. Meri was tricked in a way that was evil, but she’s not evil herself. Nonetheless, she’s a villain for putting everything on Kody when she did something like this. Her decision was destined to be the catalyst for the end of a long and miserable marriage/spiritual union.
7. Meri Uses Cryptic Posts To Control The Narrative
In her latest missive, which she posted after her split with Kody, Meri said, “Not all is always as it seems.” To boost the excitement, she added, there’s, “much more to the story.” With this type of content, Meri’s become quite the digital marketing maven. She’s teasing fans that she’s going to share a bunch of dirt about Kody, and of course, that’s what they want.

Meri’s no stranger to manipulating the public. For years, she’s relied on barely cryptic posts to get her point across and control the narrative. It’s not uncommon for her to paint Kody as the worst person ever without calling him out directly. This oblique way of putting down another person is perhaps a sign of a weak character, but that’s Meri’s MO. Of course, Meri gains sympathy (and the clout that goes with it) every time that she raises questions with her “mysterious” posts.

So, is Meri just playing a game? She’s dropped countless cryptic posts over the years. The “hidden” meaning of these posts are totally transparent, and of course, she knows that. By continuing to communicate that way, she’s stirring up drama, while appearing nice on the surface. That’s pure passive aggression.

6. Meri Doesn’t Really Listen To What Kody’s Saying
Kody has made a million attempts to explain to Meri that he simply doesn’t care about her. Although he hasn’t said it directly, he has made it very evident by engaging in a number of inappropriate behaviors. He recommended, for instance, that she reside in a barn with a loft in season 18 as though she were a farm animal. How many times must he harm her feelings before she realizes what’s going on? She left him, so it appears that she did comprehend ultimately. Prior to that, their unhappy spiritual union dragged on for a very long time.
There was no romance or passion to keep that relationship afloat. It was unfulfilling as Kody never did forgive Meri for the catfishing thing. However, he had Robyn, so his drive to really connect with his other wives was incredibly weak. He basically couldn’t be bothered to forgive Meri. It’s like he had better things to do, such as listening to Robyn’s kooky magical thinking, or styling his hair.

Meri treated Kody pretty well, but the passive aggression was always there, and she did cheat on him, if only emotionally, So, acting like she never did anything wrong is a bit of a villain move. Everyone’s got some light and shadow, but Meri likes to make it seem like she’s all sunshine and roses.

5. Meri’s Involved With A Possibly Shady Business (LuLaRoe)

Meri’s deeply involved with a fashion company, LuLaRoe, that had to pay out 4.8 million dollars in a pyramid scheme lawsuit. Those are heavy damages which point to the company being guilty of sucking in new followers to line the coffers of higher-ups. That’s how a typical pyramid scheme works. However, Meri never utters a bad word about the company, even though there was a blistering Netflix documentary, LuLaRich, that showed the firm in a very unforgiving light.

In fact, Meri goes out of her way to make LuLaRoe sound like the greatest thing ever. She’s fully brainwashed, or just interested in continuing to profit from her association with the shady company. By promoting LuLaRoe so aggressively, she may be drawing in more people who are destined to feel ripped off in the end. Chances are good that she’s having a better experience with the company than non-famous people do.

4. Meri Can’t Get Along With Christine
Meri wasn’t at Christine’s recent wedding, and her absence didn’t go unnoticed. The chatter is that she wasn’t invited. If so, that seems to show that her bond with fellow former sister wife Christine is non-existent. It’s quite a snub not to invite someone to a wedding after you’ve appeared on TV with them for eighteen sometimes-grueling seasons. It seems unlikely that Meri would skip such a high-profile event, since she frequently makes the scene elsewhere, such as at LuLaRoe’s team-building events.

Christine’s really nice, and has formed a very strong bond with Janelle Brown. In fact, Christine’s Janelle’s rock. They hang out often, and Christine’s also a great mom. Her kids always seem to have fun with her. Plus, she welcomes kids from other mothers. She’s able to bring everyone together in a lighthearted way. If Meri can’t get along with Christine, who’s so warm and open, maybe she’s the problem.

3. Meri May Have A Bit Of An Ego
In the post above, Meri’s talking about her new look. Like most influencers, when she changes her appearance (in this case, her hairstyle), she asks for feedback. This could be perceived as a form of attention-seeking. She “added” a little red to spice up her hair color. That’s not the issue here. It’s that she included definitions for “spunky” and “fiesty” as well, basically letting followers know that she thinks she’s both of those things. Then, she talked about getting a new hair look to match her “new life.”

Meri may not be as downtrodden as she appears to be, now or in the past. Maybe she really loved herself all along. While it could be argued that leaving Kody energized her, it’s possible that she was playing a part before. Now, she can finally be herself.
2. Meri May Be Faking Her Bond With Robyn

Robyn’s the queen of passive-aggressive conduct, but maybe she’s got a rival. Meri got really close to the woman who basically brought the Brown family down. All the other spouses know that Robyn can’t be trusted, so why would Meri get so cozy with Kody’s queen? It doesn’t make any sense.

In a recent episode, Meri brought Robyn along for moral support during her discussion with Kody about moving from Flagstaff to Utah. Does she really believe that Robyn has her back? That’s kind of laughable, so maybe she uses Robyn to make herself look better. By pretending to like Robyn, Meri appears to be one of the more peaceful Brown women.
1. Meri’s Probably Going To Live In The Past For A While
Meri will profit from exploiting this breakup with Kody endlessly. When she does, she will win people over and find it simpler to market her endeavors. She needs to maintain her audience’s interest. Her link to Instagram fame is Kody. Therefore, it is highly likely that she will continue to include mysterious posts regarding Kody for years. She may appear to be enjoying life without Kody, but in actuality, she tends to reflect on the past a lot.
If Meri tones down these tedious villain traits, she may be able to revamp her image. While “victim” and “villain” don’t usually go hand in hand, in Meri’s case, the two archetypes are both in play. The Sister Wives season 18 star is all about a “good girl” image, but who is she really? She’s probably good and bad, just like most people. However, she never acknowledges her shortcomings. It’s always someone else’s fault.
