Preview: In this Sunday’s episode of the popular TLC series, Christine Brown says she found dating in the public glare to be “frustrating” after her breakup with ex-partner Kody Brown. For the first time ever, Christine Brown is navigating the dating world. In a preview for Sunday’s Sister Wives episode, 51-year-old Christine acknowledges that she “never dated anybody” prior to her breakup with ex-husband Kody Brown, saying that he “was the first boy I kissed and it was after we were married.”
During her daughter’s Ysabel’s farewell dinner, she admits, “I think dating sounds like fun. It’s been frustrating. But it’s not like I go out that much too. And how do I be public like that?”
Her son-in-law Antonio “Tony” Padron, who is married to Mykelti Brown Padron, responds, “What if you have a profile where you just don’t use ‘Christine’? You just go by, like, a nickname. I’m just saying you could go by ‘Tina’ on a profile.”
He adds: “And you could vibe it out and then if you ever like someone enough, you could be like, ‘Oh by the way, that’s me over there.’ My name is Christine.”
Aspyn Brown, the daughter of Christine, and her husband Mitch Thompson also adds their two cents, adding, “I would just be concerned about the type of people you’re finding.”
Tony remarks, “You like farmers,” as Mitch suggests she join the dating app Farmers Only. Christine says in a confessional that she isn’t interested in casual hookups and reveals what she is truly seeking for after the divorce. That’s not what I want to do. She said to her family, “I like the idea of being in a romantic, loving relationship a lot,” and that she was not in a rush to find a new spouse. However, I also truly enjoy my life as it is at this moment.
Tony then encouraged Christine to “go fish around” and “get back in the game” while Mykelti told her to “dip your toes in the pond.” Christine knows that needs to take her children’s advice, saying, “I know you’re right, and I haven’t done [that]. I haven’t put myself out there.”
“It is frightening. I’m entering the dating world at 50. Everyone comes with the past,” she adds in a confessional. “Everyone comes with a history and mine’s really complicated.”
Christine revealed to PEOPLE in August 2022 that she had found love after declaring her spiritual marriage to Kody was dissolved.
“I’d adore going on a date. Love the thought of having a love partner in the end,” she remarked. But Truely said, “Mom, I really like our life how it is now,” when I brought it up to her the other day. Along the way. That one, I’m just going to let fate handle.”
“I want a guy who actually loves me and wants to be with me intimately,” she stated. “I will be a monogamist from here on out.”
After initially connecting on a dating app in 2022, Christine tied the knot with her fiancé David Woolley this month.
“It’s a fairytale,” Brown told. “It’s everything I never thought I would have. I get to walk down the aisle to David, him just looking at me the way that he does, it’s a dream come true.”
Sister Wives airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
