According to spoilers for Days of Our Lives (DOOL), Clyde Weston (James Read) might once more be the person behind a mystery. Fans of DOOL are aware that Clyde tried to compel EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) to oversee his drug company, which is why he had Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) sent to Edmund Crumb (Adam Caine).
Clyde changed course and had Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) attacked when he was at work after Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) botched that plan. It was a plot to make Ava take over as head of Clyde’s pharmaceutical enterprise in lieu of EJ. According to Days spoilers for the week of November 20–24, Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) is now set to be compelled into the drug trade as well.
Clyde will force Stefan to meet with him and could confess some shockers during their conversation. We can probably assume that Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) is the leverage that Clyde will use to control Stefan.
With his ties in the Statesville women’s community, Clyde can either have someone watch out for Gabi or regularly beat her up! Days spoilers imply that if Stefan disobeys, Gabi’s life may be in jeopardy, which will motivate him to follow Clyde’s instructions and work with Ava. It’s possible that Clyde is only seizing a chance that has come his way, but it’s also plausible that he created the opportunity.
Clyde could easily be the person who orchestrated Li Shin’s (Remington Hoffman) demise and Gabi’s setup using one of his henchmen. Days viewers have seen that Clyde will go to great lengths to back other characters into a corner. Clyde could be why Gabi landed behind bars since he can control Stefan and prevent any distractions now that he’s separated from his wife.
If Stefan dares to tell the police that Clyde is to blame for all this, Clyde might warn that there’ll be fatal consequences. That goes for both Stefan and Gabi!
Then again, Clyde might argue that there’s no proof, so he may not think anyone will believe Stefan anyway. That’s especially true since Stefan is so desperate to pin the crime on someone else and would say just about anything to free Gabi.
Naturally, if Clyde suggests that he might come clean at some point, there would be additional motivation. If Stefan follows instructions, maybe Clyde may hint that he might be more likely to tell the police the truth. In the end, Ava will have to collaborate with Stefan on the drug business shortly as Clyde will assert his dominance over him at their next meeting.
