It’s a wild rumor that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) will soon drop a bomb on Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) according to Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates. Is Dimitri Von Leuschner (Peter Porte), Leo’s lecherous lover and Gwen’s cheating husband, dead after Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) aimed a revolver at his chest?
Gwen believes Leo is entitled to believe that Dimitri is dead even though Kristen didn’t actually shoot him in the chest. Like she did with Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) a while back, Kristen might have sent him to the family island in a shipping container.
Or maybe she went the Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) route and shot him into an open grave and buried him, dead or alive! As Kristen had the gun on Dimitri, Gwen was getting revenge on Leo back at the hotel-although she was beyond the point of a mere pie in the face. That was just when she told him that he knew he and Dimitri were having an affair behind her back and she’d known ever since Iceland!
Most likely, Kristen pointed a gun at Dimitri’s chest that day, right in front of Joseph Mascolo’s painting of Father-Stefano DiMera, and Dimitri vanished or was vanished after that. No matter how Stefano felt for his daughter Megan DiMera (Miranda Wilson), he would not have welcomed Dimitri as a grandson. She tried to pass off Dimitri as Bo Brady’s (Peter Reckell) long ago, so Kristen and Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) were surprised she didn’t try it again.
Gwen drops the bomb that Dimitri disappeared and she was contacted that he’s dead-married just long enough to inherit as his widow, and she’s using the money to leave town. Gwen needs a new start, the paper’s going back to Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and she and Leo’s long friendship is over for good after his betrayal! Leo begs her not to leave, she’s his only friend, and she dispels that thought immediately-no more, she’s through being used and taken advantage of.
Despite doubting it can ever happen, Gwen attempts to repair her relationship with her father after threatening to report Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain). Gwen is happy to have assistance, but after giving Jack the Salem Spectator back, she is finished. Gwen will depart from Salem in the same manner as she arrived: by doing nothing, severing all ties, and hoping to begin fresh somewhere else. She could even borrow a page from Kristen’s playbook. Specifically, becoming a nun and joining a convent, where she would be provided with clothing, housing, and food—much better than a prison!
