Actress Vanessa Lachey was overwhelmed with support as fans agreed that NCIS: Hawaii was the best spinoff series ever created from the franchise.

A poll created by The Mirror US held to determine fans’ favorite NCIS spin-off series revealed that NCIS: Hawaii was voted the best with a whopping 63 percent of respondents. NCIS:

Los Angeles was only at 28 percent, while NCIS: New Orleans fell behind on eight percent. And as these results were shared on social media, Vanessa herself thanked fans for rallying behind the show despite it’s early cancellation.

After seeing the outcome, the 44-year-old actress, who starred as the character NCIS Special Agent Jane Tennant, shared a screenshot on her Instagram Story and sweetly wrote: “BEST fans in the WORLD!!! I [heart emoji] U!”

NCIS: Hawaii followed the story of the first female Special Agent in Charge of NCIS Pearl Harbor, Jane Tennant, as she pushed through the ranks of the system. And now, she is seen leading a group of specialists on the islands of Hawaii as they investigate high-stakes crimes which involve military personnel, national security and strange mysteries.

NCIS: Hawaii ran for three seasons before it was axed in May of 2024 due to poor viewership, making it the shortest-lived spinoff in the franchise. And as the news broke that the series was coming to a close, Vanessa took to social media sharing a heartfelt message to her fans for following along throughout the journey.

In the post, she penned to her one million followers in part: “I’m wishing for my crew and my cast that we all remember the Beauty of what we had… we will spread this Aloha in every direction we go. I wish we had more time, I’m sorry we don’t. I wish we had a proper good-bye, I’m sorry we didn’t. I know we ALL are connected deeper than any TV show.”

She continued: “I will go to the ends of the earth for my cast & crew! If you come across ANY of them… hire them! You won’t be disappointed. Salt of the earth people! In Hawai’i we don’t say ‘Good-Bye,’ we say ‘A Hui Hou’ it means ‘until we meet again.’ To you all & especially the beloved fans… A Hui Hou.”
