[Accident] C6 Corvette And A Dodge Charger Get Tangled Up In Illinois

Pieces of a dark gray C6 Corvette coupe and a red pre-2011 Dodge Charger littered the roadway after a big crash Tuesday in Illinois.

Four occupants of the vehicles had to be taken to a hospital for treatment of their injuries in the accident that happened in Freeport around noon.

Check out these photos of the crash scene released by the Freeport Fire Department, and you’ll see the Corvette with a utility pole resting on its top, with all the front body panels and the outer door shell knocked off the car.

The cause of the wreck, which happened at the intersection of Galena and Iroquois and shut down traffic for a brief time, remains under investigation, authorities said.
