After splitting from Tom Sandoval earlier this year, Scheana Shay supported Ariana Madix. However, things have become a little more tricky now, especially after it was revealed at BravoCon 2023 that Scheana had spent one evening with Sandoval.
At the “Battle of the Sexes” panel with Ariana and her Vanderpump Rules co-stars Lala Kent and James Kennedy, rumors about the aforementioned hangout spread. Kennedy stated that Scheana and Lala had spent time in Sandoval’s hotel room on the first night of BravoCon weekend.
Lala, however, immediately defended herself by denying that she was in the room.
The same couldn’t be said for Scheana, though, as she later confirmed that she had indeed been talking to Sandoval in his room at BravoCon 2023. Read on to hear her explanation for why, and to see where she and Ariana stand today after the drama.
Why Scheana Shay Was in Tom Sandoval’s Room at BravoCon 2023
When Scheana was asked why she was in Sandoval’s hotel room, she said, “I don’t like some of the things I heard him saying,” to Page Six.
She went on, “There was a lot that was said, and I’ve not been easy on him,” before revealing that she had gone to Sandoval’s room to carry on their “conversations” about the reasons he shouldn’t be discussing Ariana. “I’ve been very stern with how I feel and what I disagree with.”

Ariana’s Response to Sandoval and Scheana’s Hangout
Even after Scheana gave her explanation for why she and Sandoval were hanging together, Ariana was clearly not happy to hear about it. It’s strange, Ariana said to Access Hollywood. There was no Lala in the space. James and Lala were also on that panel with me. Scheana was, but Lala wasn’t. And I thought, “That’s strange.”
Ariana’s Update on Her Friendship with Scheana
Following the conclusion of BravoCon 2023, Ariana shared a promising development in the Scheana saga. More specifically, she was asked by Access Hollywood on Nov. 7 if she’s “talked to Scheana” and she said, “I have, yes.”
What’s more, when asked if the two are “on good terms,” Ariana added, “We’re good, yeah.”
