Big Brother legend Janelle Pierzina loves the Big Brother 26 BB A.I. Arena twist, and she suggested making it a permanent part of the game. In the BB A.I. Arena twist, the Head of Household (HOH) nominates three houseguests for eviction every week. After playing for the Power of Veto, the final three nominees battle it out in the A.I. Arena, during which one wins safety right before the live eviction. The Big Brother season 26 houseguests don’t know who the final two nominees are until minutes before the vote, which makes creating a voting strategy much more challenging.
“What if they kept the AI comp every season?”
In an X post, Janelle expressed why she thinks that the BB A.I. Arena should be a permanent fixture on Big Brother. She wrote, “What if they kept the AI comp every season? It adds an element of unpredictability that we have been missing for so many seasons! Plus- much more potential for blindsides. Thoughts?”
In the comments section of her post, Janelle added, “I don’t ever ever ever want to go back to the voting with the house bulls***. It’s so annoying and boring.” The BB A.I. Arena competition makes it harder for players to vote with the house.

Janelle Thinks A Fan Has A Good Plan For BB A.I. Arena Twist
In the comments section of Janelle’s post, X user @alyssanator_ wrote, “I agree! I think it should be a staple but only for the prejury portion. Once jury hits I think players should be allowed to backdoor their targets.” Janelle wrote, “Yes agreed!” The BB A.I. Arena prevents houseguests from backdooring each other because even a replacement nominee will always have the opportunity to save themselves in the arena competition. This makes it much more difficult to evict competition beasts such as Tucker Des Lauriers, who’s already won two BB A.I. Arena competitions.
Janelle is right that Big Brother should make the BB A.I. Arena competition a permanent part of the game. It has prevented the houseguests from voting with the house, especially during Cedric Hodges’ blindside eviction, which shocked the Pentagon alliance. However, it’s also a good idea to end the arena competition once the jury begins in order to make backdooring possible again. The Big Brother A.I. Arena should be kept for the first part of the game to make it more challenging and more thrilling to watch. It was truly a genius idea to revitalize Big Brother after 25 seasons.
Janelle is also correct that the unpredictability of Big Brother season 26 is what’s made it so compelling, especially for live feeders. On Mondays after the Power of Veto ceremony, live feeders pretty much knew who would be evicted on Thursday. However, with the BB A.I. Arena competition still to be played during the live eviction episodes, viewers are kept on the edges of their seats right up until the eviction. The element of surprise makes the evictions so much more exciting. The BB A.I. Arena competition is the definition of Big Brother’s motto, “expect the unexpected.”
Big Brother season 26 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. EDT and Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
