Christine Brown had the ideal strategy to commemorate her “ex-anniversary” in the most recent Sister Wives episode, but without her spouse, Kody Brown. On the most recent episode of Sister Wives, Christine Brown celebrated their previous anniversary without Kody Brown, and this was exactly how she wanted it. Christine decided to spend the “ex-anniversary” of her 1994 wedding to Kody in Flagstaff, Arizona, with his recently divorced wife Janelle Brown and a select group of friends.

“Celebrating the day of our divorce isn’t enough,” Christine said about the small gathering.

“I also need to celebrate our old anniversary, our ex-anniversary.”

She called her get-together the “perfect way to celebrate.” As for the guest list, Christine said it was “awesome” to be joined by “like-minded people” who have also been through divorce. Of course, Kody thought during her party was the perfect time to call his ex-wife.

Christine called the move “weird,” before refusing to answer the call.

“It’s, like, Kody of all people, but I’m not answering that right now,” the Sister Wives star told her friends.

In her confessional, she said she had “no idea” why Kody wanted to talk to her. Kody, meanwhile, claimed the call was truly innocent.

“I found out that Christine was in town, so I called her because I wanted to see if [our daughter] Truely was available,” he claimed about the oddly timed phone call.

Christine revealed how Kody wanted to celebrate their anniversary last year after rejecting his call. Kody recommended they upload a photo together even though she wanted to do “nothing” to commemorate the day. She had “no interest” in carrying it out though. Both Christine and Janelle disclosed to their acquaintances the inner workings of the polygamous relationship within the Brown family, but Christine said her “tipping point” occurred when Kody was not “being the greatest dad to my kids.”

“I think if people wanna live [plural marriage], fine. But I just, to be honest with you, I don’t see it as a great family structure and I really have a hard time with it,” Christine admitted in a confessional.

She continued, “But I think once a guy finds the love of his life, the other women are screwed,” before Kody screamed derogatory remarks at Christine, alleging she “forced” herself into his life.

“I’m doing my best while not having a good day, believe me, but it still was a failure,” she said in her confessional. I only wished he had called us all together and announced, “Look, I discovered the love of my life. I located Robyn. We are soul mates and want to spend the rest of our lives together. In order to make the other three of you work in this situation, let’s figure out how to do it.

The group concluded the “ex-anniversary” by toasting to “new beginnings” for Christine. Fortunately, she started her new beginnings last weekend when she wed David Woolley.
