Brady Black is a loveless man. On Days of Our Lives, it could be said of a lot of characters, but it probably says something that Brady, even among Salem residents, just can’t seem to get it right. But what else should he anticipate when he falls for card-carrying con artists like Kristen and Theresa or women like Chloe who are still pining for another?
Eric Martsolf, though, has found a steady, enduring love for the past 25 years — despite his and now-wife Lisa Martsolf’s intentions! In fact, that’s one thing the happy couple have in common with Brady and Kristen — they both found love when they were looking for something else entirely!
The Martsolfs married on October 10, 2003 and when Brady’s portrayer took to Instagram with a sweet post celebrating their two decades as husband and wife, he revealed that their relationship started out very differently!
“20 years ago today I married this girl I had met on tour,” he wrote. “The plan was to have frivolous, noncommittal fun together for the duration of the gig. Well, we make plans and God laughs hysterically. Love comes when it wants to, and I’ve been hit like a bolt of lightening since 10/10/03.
“I love you tremendously, Martsolf conclude, “and am happy to celebrate my botched plan from 25 years ago.”
Unlike the toxic relationship, though, that surprised Brady and Kristen, the Martsolfs couldn’t have formed a stronger bond.
Lisa jumped into the comments to reassure her hubby that, “You botch it up well! I adore you… then, now, always. I am beyond blessed that non committed fun didn’t end up as a tour statistic. Thank you for being my world… and giving me the entire world. I will always choose you.”
Stacy Haiduk, naturally, was far more supportive than Kristen would ever be! “Happy anniversary, you two!”
Congrats to the Martsolfs on 20 incredible years of marriage! Sometimes, like they noted, our plans fall apart — in the best way possible!
