The Acolyte might be over — at least for now, #RenewTheAcolyte — but that doesn’t mean all the fun is over. At San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, fans lucky enough to be in attendance can check out costumes and lightsabers from the Disney+ series. From The Stranger’s (Manny Jacinto) helmet, to Mae’s (Amandla Stenberg) cloak, fans can see it all on display at the Star Wars booth throughout the weekend.
‘The Acolyte’ Costumes Are Rich With Detail
Five characters take center stage as part of the costume display. There is of course The Stranger, aka Qimir (Jacinto), whose costume is seen along with his fearsome mask with its unsettling smile. There is also a close-up look at Mae’s (Stenberg) robe and battle dress, as well as Osha’s (also Stenberg) “civilian robes” with her trusty droid Pip tucked in her pocket.
We also get a close look at the intricate beading on Mother Aniseya’s (Jodie Turner-Smith) dress, along with the delicate and deadly jewellery she wears on her hands. Much simpler in design, but no less intricate, are Vernestra’s (Rebecca Henderson) temple robes, which feature a utilitarian belt and a sleeveless overcoat.
The Lightsaber — An Elegant Weapon For a More Civilized Age
The most iconic aspect of the Jedi are their lightsabers. The display at SDCC features Qimir’s two-part blade, but it also features those of all our dearly departed Jedi, including Jecki (Dafne Keen), Yord (Charlie Barnett), Sol (Lee Jung-jae), Indara (Carrie-Ann Moss), Torbin (Dean-Charles Chapman) and Kelnacca (Jonas Suotamo). The Jedi’s sabers all carry distinctive brown and gold detailing emblematic of the High Republic era.

They may not have the detal of the costumes or the flash of the lightsabers, but the Star Wars booth also features a look at props from the show. These include Mae’s blades, as well as the tools used by the Jedi, and the tools used by Qimir in the apothecary shop. On a much lighter note, the prop display also features toys and games seen in the show, because kids will be kids no matter the galaxy.
