Home and Away is off air for its Christmas break at the moment, but another year of Summer Bay drama is just around the corner.

Viewers in the UK saw the final episode of the year on Friday, November 15 – after which, Channel 5 cleared its daytime schedule for its annual collection of Christmas movies.

Australian fans saw their own finale episode a few days later, with a dramatic triple bill of episodes airing on Channel 7 on Wednesday, November 20.

When does Home and Away return on Channel 5 in the UK?

As is tradition, Home and Away will air its 2025 return episode on Channel 5’s sister station 5STAR ahead of the main channel.

On Friday, January 3, 5STAR will repeat the final 2024 episode for a handy catch-up on the recent cliffhangers.

These included Perri Hayes’ deadly showdown with his abusive father Carl, Justin Morgan finding himself trapped with his admirer Claudia Salini in a remote location, and Bree Cameron facing a career crisis after her hesitancy at the hospital nearly killed Alf Stewart.

Straight after this, the first new episode of the year will follow at 6.30pm.

For those who prefer to watch on Channel 5, Home and Away returns on Monday, January 6 in the usual 1.45pm daytime slot.
