Home and Away’s Abigail Fowler is rejected by Theo Poulos on UK screens next week.
Abigail’s hopes of exploring a potential relationship with Theo are shattered when he decides that they can’t be together.
Upcoming episodes see Abigail lean on Theo for support amid ongoing problems with her family.
Abigail arranges a date with Theo and looks forward to a distraction from her feud with her sister Eden, who betrayed her by pursuing a relationship with her counsellor Tim Russell.
Unfortunately, trouble brews when Theo’s uncle Justin Morgan realises that he met Tim during his time in rehab.
Justin reflects on Theo’s history of drug abuse and how it was influenced by his relationship with Valerie Beaumont.
Fearful that history could repeat itself if Abigail has similar issues, Justin sits Theo down to warn him.
Later, Abigail meets Theo for their date but is shocked when he quizzes her about Justin’s theory that she has a drug problem.
Abigail confirms that she did have an issue with drugs, but is now recovering and working hard to turn her life around.
Theo is pleased with Abigail’s honesty, but insists on setting boundaries as he doesn’t want to risk falling back into his own addiction. He chooses not to take his relationship with Abigail any further, leaving her heartbroken.
Feeling emotional, Abigail tries to seek her brother Levi out at the hospital as she wants someone to talk to.
When Levi isn’t there, a fragile Abigail is pushed to breaking point and tries to steal some vials of morphine from the hospital’s supplies.
Dana Matheson catches Abigail in the act and takes a compassionate approach, listening to her worries and offering to call Levi for her.
Can Levi step in and keep his sister on the right track?
Home and Away airs these scenes on Monday, February 17 and Tuesday, February 18 on Channel 5.
