Home And Away’S Heartbreaking Revelation: ‘He Never Says He Loves Me’

Home and Away has hinted that Tane Parata and Harper Matheson could hit the rocks after weeks of uncertainty surrounding their future.

The new couple are expecting a baby together following a one-night stand last year, but fans are divided about whether there are any genuine feelings between them.

Tane and Harper have always worked successfully together while eagerly making plans for their baby boy’s arrival.

They’ve also tried to establish themselves as a proper couple, rather than just co-parents, but this is where things have been far trickier. Harper is secretly haunted by doubts over her partner’s lack of affection towards her, while Tane seems to be in denial over the problem.

This week’s episodes on Australia’s Channel 7 saw the pair overcome one major hurdle as they made a final decision over their upcoming wedding.

After initially planning a low-key ceremony, Tane eventually agreed to a more extravagant affair as Harper had been downplaying her expectations for the big day.

The two finally seemed to be on the same page, but a new official trailer has now revealed that their issues are far from over.

In the promo, Harper can be heard discussing her upsetting realisation that Tane has never declared his love for her, even though they’re engaged.

She says: “He is the kindest, sweetest man, and I should be over the moon. But he hasn’t once said that he loves me.”

With the truth dawning on her, Harper adds: “Something will happen and I’ll think: ‘This is the moment. This is when he’s going to say it’. But he never says it.

“I’m really worried that he’s just doing all of this for the baby.”

Meanwhile, Cash Newman can’t resist intervening when he urges Tane to be honest about his feelings.

He asks: “Are you happy? Are you in love with Harper?”

How will Tane respond? Can he prove his feelings for Harper or is it time to accept that they’re not right for each other?

Home and Away airs these scenes next week in Australia and early April on Channel 5 in the UK.
