Before announcing their separation in September, Garcelle Beauvais stated that Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s marriage was in trouble.
On Friday’s broadcast of “Today With Hoda & Jenna,” the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” actress admitted, “I knew they were having a hard time.”
Beauvais, on the other hand, was unaware that Richards and Umanksy would split up.
“I was just as shocked as everybody in terms of, like, the separation,” she explained to co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager. “I knew there were some things going on but the separation was shocking to me.”
She added that she knows the split is especially difficult for her “Housewives” co-star — who was spotted without her wedding ring this week — because “family is everything” to her.
Richards, 54, and the “Buying Beverly Hills” realtor, 53, tied the knot in January 1997 and share three biological children. Umanksy confirmed they are no longer together on Sept. 29.
“Kyle and I are human beings, OK? We have emotions, we have feelings, we’re going through a really hard time, OK?” he told TMZ.
“We are currently separated, we are not talking about divorce and we’re trying to deal with this stuff internally with ourselves privately.”
His admission followed Page Six’s allegation that he and Richards had been “separated for a while” and their joint efforts in July to quell rumors of a “untrue” divorce. However, they did acknowledge in a joint Instagram post that this was the “most difficult” time of their marriage. Additionally, they affirmed that “wrongdoing on anyone’s part” had not occurred.
There had already been allegations of Richards’ adultery against their marriage. Following their several outings together, including a “intimate” coffee date in Paris, fans think the Bravolebrity has been dating country musician Morgan Wade.
Although they have refuted dating rumors, the suspicions have persisted due to their similar tattoos and rings. Richards has supported her former spouse even after they split up by cheering him on as he competes on “Dancing With the Stars.”
She invited her followers to vote for him while simultaneously watching him in person at the Season 32 launch of the program.
Umansky hinted that their marriage is not completely done, telling Page Six exclusively that they are “not throwing in the towel yet.”
