In the wake of his split from his wife of 27 years, Kyle Richards, Mauricio Umansky is responding to rumors about his love life. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star denied having a sexual relationship with actress Leslie Bega after the two were seen out to dinner together in Los Angeles the previous week.
“There’s just nothing there,” Mauricio exclusively told E! News after his Oct. 10 Dancing With the Stars performance (airing tonight on at 11 p.m. on E!). “This whole story is so crazy. There’s nothing to talk about there.”
As for one report claiming Leslie, who also works at Mauricio’s real estate firm, is actually romancing his dad Eduardo Umansky? Once again, not true.
“She had tickets, she invited him, but that is not his girlfriend,” the 53-year-old explained. “She works at The Agency.”
Mauricio’s mom Estella Sneider was actually the source of the speculation after she posted a photo from a dinner outing with her son, Leslie and Eduardo together after Mauricio’s Oct. 3 DWTS performance.
On October 6, she posted a photo to Instagram with the remark, “Dinner at Il Pastaio after Dancing With The Stars.” We enjoyed a wonderful talk and a fantastic dinner. To keep honoring Mauricio was a fantastic treat. I appreciate you driving me home after dinner, @leslieraebega, so we could continue to have a good time.
Leslie, who has acted in television productions such as The Sopranos and Head of the Class, posted her own behind-the-scenes photos from the ABC reality competition series on Instagram with the caption, “DANCING WITH THE STARS Supporting Mauricio on Latin night.”
And while Leslie wasn’t in the audience for his most recent performance, Estella was there showing her son lots of love.
“My mom, she’s just awesome,” Mauricio told E!. “She loves me more than anything in the world. She’s my biggest cheerleader and my biggest fan and she just keeps sending me love and energy.”
Kyle, who was present when he made his Dancing debut on September 26, is another spectator cheering him on from the sidelines. What about the current situation of the Bravo stars, who have four children together—Farrah, 34; Alexia, 27; Sophia, 23; and Portia, 15—after admitting to having marital issues earlier this summer?
“We’re trying to keep it private, but at the end of the day we’re not private people,” he said to E! News on October 3. We are well-known individuals, yet the truth is that we are currently estranged. We are going through a very trying moment right now. It has been difficult. We are not yet prepared to give up. We’re not in a rush and are still improving our marriage.
