Michael Weatherly, the former NCIS star, is reportedly in discussions to make a comeback on the CBS crime drama. But one of his demands is holding up negotiations.
Weatherly, who portrayed Tony DiNozzo on the hit crime drama, only wants to return if producers also bring back Cote de Pablo.

Between 2003 to 2016, when he left to serve as the show’s protagonist, Weatherly had a starring role on NCIS. Weatherly is apparently discussing his comeback with CBS officials now that Bull has concluded.
With one exception, bosses are pleased to bring Weatherly back, according to Hello Magazine. According to reports, the actor is pushing for Robert Wagner and de Pablo, two of his previous co-stars, to make a comeback.
Unfortunately, producers are reluctant to abide by his requests. Reintegrating Weatherly into the group is one thing; reintegrating de Pablo and Wagner is quite another.
The good news is that de Pablo has already returned to NCIS once. Having her reunite with Weatherly is something fans have wanted for a long time and would be a major boost to the show.
Although CBS has yet to confirm the news, Weatherly hasn’t stopped dropping hints about his return.
The former ‘NCIS’ star teases a Tony and Ziva reunion
Weatherly has continuously teased his return to NCIS on social media. He has also drops hints about de Pablo reuniting with him, leaving viewers convinced that something is in the works.
On New Year’s Day a few months back, Weatherly tweeted a happy greeting. The actor gave a big hint when several fans expressed their desire to see Tony and Ziva (de Pablo) reunited.
Weatherly warned his fans that this year would hold some fascinating surprises. Many people interpreted this as evidence that an NCIS comeback is imminent.
Stay tuned, he wrote, “for this may be an interesting year for such’moments’.”
Unfortunately, Weatherly has not confirmed that he is returning to NCIS in the near future. There have also been rumors about a potential NCIS spinoff about Tony and Ziva, which have heated up following the end of NCIS: Los Angeles.
