NCIS star Brian Dietzen has been flooded with well wishes from fans as he opened up on the numerous surgeries he’s done in between filming.

NCIS star Brian Dietzen took to Instagram to share a health update which has left his arm in a sling.

CBS fans said goodbye to NCIS season 22 earlier this month and are now patiently waiting for the team’s return in the fall when series 23 is scheduled to begin.

While his co-stars are taking a well deserved break, chief medical examiner Jimmy Palmer actor Brian Dietzen has had to undergo various surgeries.

Taking to Instagram, the 47-year-old posted a selfie of him with his right arm in a black sling and in the caption confirmed all of the procedures he’s had to endure.

Written as a ticked off list, Dietzen shared that he has had a labrum repair, bicep tendon repair, biceps repair and a calcified rotator cleanup.

He went on to joke: “So ready for summer in this stylish thing!”, before expressing his gratitude.

“Honestly though, so very thankful to have some incredible doctors to put my shoulder back together, and SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) healthcare to pay for it.

“Been needing this for some time and glad I have the opportunity during hiatus.”

Ending the post on a lighter note, the star added with a fun golfing emoji: “I fully expect this will shave 3-4 strokes off my average 18 hole score!”

NCIS fans couldn’t help but take to the comments section to send their well wishes to the actor.

Someone wrote: “Labrum injuries are painful and tough. Get well soon!”, with another agreeing: “Shoulder surgery is hard and painful. Good thoughts for a speedy recovery.”

Another commented: “Whew! That’s a lot. Take it easy and heal well.”

A fellow fan remarked: “Prayers for you. I’ve had that surgery and it was not fun!”

While another follower added: “Take care of yourself Brian, we need Jimmy back in one piece!”

An official start date for NCIS season 23 hasn’t been announced just yet although it is expected to debut sometime in September or October.

When it does return, the show will be back to its original Tuesday night time slot after switching to Mondays for the past four years.

Tuesday nights will then be dedicated to the NCIS franchise with series 23 of the mothership drama, as well as season two of NCIS Origins and season three of NCIS Sydney.
