Viewers couldn’t get enough of the never-before-seen snaps of Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe.

Since the series debuted in 2014, Outlander stars Sam Heughan and Caitríona Balfe have been one of TV’s most popular couples—and fans still can’t get enough of the photogenic pair in-character as Jamie and Claire.

That’s why holiday dreams came true for viewers everywhere on Thursday, Dec. 26, when the show’s official Instagram account shared a series of pics of Heughan and Balfe as their beloved characters, posing with their arms around each other on a snowy field.

“Did somebody ask for new Claire and Jamie pictures? #Outlander” the caption read.

Followers raved about the stunning snaps in the comments.

“In my opinion… Jamie & Claire are the best onscreen couple in the world. 😍,” gushed one fan, as another echoed, “Love these pictures of the best TV couple ever!!! Love them. ❤️❤️.”

“That raised eyebrow though… #fiercefraser” a second person wrote, with someone else agreeing, “That Jamie eyebrow!!!”

“What a perfect series. In addition to the excellent story, the wonderful actors, the music, the scenery; look at the perfection of Jaime and Claire’s clothes! It’s impossible not to fall in love with Outlander.♥️🥰,” declared another Instagram user.

Earlier this month, Balfe and Heughan opened up to Parade about their final days working on the drama. (While the eighth and final season of Outlander won’t air until 2025, filming has already wrapped.)

“On the last official day, there were lots of tears,” Balfe said. “I saw [executive producer] Ron [D. Moore] and I was bawling. I was like, ‘This role has changed my life.’ It really has. It’s changed all of our lives; it’s given us so much and it’s going to be very strange not to have this as part of our lives.”

“We’ve had a lot of goodbyes, at least moments in the last day with another actor or the last day together or the last scene,” Heughan said. “We had an event recently and some fan I was speaking to said, ‘Now that it’s over.’ It really, really hit me there. I was like, ‘Oh, it is,’ but it’s not for the fans, honestly.”

The actor who brought Jamie Fraser to life continued, “There’s so much to look forward to. After Season 7B, there’s the whole of Season 8. Obviously, we’re going to be around for quite some time doing press, etc. So, it isn’t quite over yet. But we’re close. It’s a huge part of our lives, it has been for 11 years.”
