Sam Heughan’s debut movie Born to be Great is now available to watch on Prime Video.
The 2010 film stars the Outlander actor as Alexander the Great, with the coming-of-age drama following his journey from his boyhood in Macedonia to becoming Regent of the Land, after proving his worth to his father, King Phillip (John Moulder-Brown).
Other cast members include The Walking Dead’s Lauren Cohan, Days of Our Lives star Paul Tefler, Dynasty’s Christopher Cazenove and Red Election’s Amy Shiels.
Born to be Great, which marked Heughan’s debut movie role, was added to Prime Video in the UK and Ireland yesterday (January 14).
Meanwhile, Heughan recently returned to screens as fiery highlander Jamie Fraser in season 7, part 2 of Outlander, which airs its finale episode this weekend.
Appearing on The One Show in November, the actor said the upcoming episode is one of his “favourite finales” of the whole series.
“I think Jamie and Claire really face one of the biggest tests of their relationship for many se asons,” he explained. “And then the finale as well, which is probably, I think, one of my favourite finales, it’s really dramatic. So much to look forward to!”
Outlander has also been renewed for an eighth and final season, which has already wrapped filming.
Previously discussing what it was like to film her final-ever scene for the hit Starz drama, Claire actor Caitríona Balfe said: “God, it was so emotional. I mean it was an emotional scene anyway, of course, because a lot of them are.
“We’ve had a couple of wraps. I feel like we had the official one and then we had our final kind of pick-ups and that sort of stuff. But for our official wrap, we had lots of executives who came in and there was lots of the cast who came to the studio, the whole studio was full and we had a seven-minute scene.”
Outlander airs on Starz in the US, and streams via MGM+ on Prime Video Channels in the UK.
