Outlander star Sam Heughan has celebrated a huge milestone for the show by sharing a message with fans on social media.
The actor, who plays fiery highlander Jamie Fraser, took to Instagram this week to mark 10 years since the hit series debuted on Starz.
Sharing a video of himself wandering the Outlander set while dressed in his Jamie attire, Heughan said: “If you didn’t know it, this Friday is a big day. It’s the 10th anniversary of Outlander. Can you believe it? 10 years. A decade!”
He continued: “We wouldn’t be here without you guys, the fans, so a huge thank you to all the fans who have supported us over the years.”
The actor then shared a “special announcement” with his fans, confirming that he and the cast of Outlander will be at PaleyFest in New York City on October 17 to celebrate the anniversary.
The cast will then attend ComicCon for a panel event on October 17, where they will discuss the upcoming second part of Outlander’s seventh season.
“Come and join us, come and celebrate with us, the cast. Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past 10 years!” Heughan concluded.
Outlander season 7 part 2 is set to arrive on November 22, picking up after the events of part one.
Part one, which premiered last June, concluded with Jamie, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Ian (John Bell) leaving America to head back to where it all began: Scotland.
Meanwhile, an Outlander prequel series titled Blood of My Blood is to arrive next year, focusing on Jamie and Claire’s parents and their respective love stories over two time periods.
Outlander airs on Starz in the US, and streams via MGM+ on Prime Video Channels in the UK. Season 7 part 2 premieres on November 22.
