After the tragic death of her former co-star on NCIS, David McCallum, Pauley Perrette released a heartwarming video in which she expressed her support for David’s son, Val. The actress posted a video of herself enjoying a concert where guitarist Val was playing, and her followers were overjoyed to see her having a good time.

She captioned the video: “My pastor and I went to see @JacksonBrowne. SUCH a good show. The OUTSTANDING #guitar player on the right in the red shirt is @valmccallum.7. Son of #DavidMccallum. Excellent musicianship all around. And I could listen to just his backup singers all day. Lovely young ladies Jackson met in a youth gospel choir.”

Responding to the post, one person wrote: “I like hearing good musicians that know how to play well myself. Well orchestrated, well written and delivered . That’s always a good time, Pauley.” Another person added: “His vocals are amazing. Thank you so much for sharing, Pauley.” A third person wrote: “Fantastic music, love them!! Wonderful to see @valmccallum.7, talented family.”

Val’s father, NCIS star David McCallum, very sadly passed away in late September aged 90 of natural causes at New York Presbyterian Hospital. NCIS’ executive producers released a statement following his death, which reads: “For over twenty years, David McCallum endeared himself to audiences around the world playing the wise, quirky, and sometimes enigmatic, Dr. Donald ‘Ducky’ Mallard.

“But even if his admirers may have adored him, David was perhaps more appreciated by those who collaborated with him. He was a gentleman and scholar, ever polite, the epitome of professionalism, and never one to turn down a joke. Working with him was an honor from the beginning, and he never let us down. To put it simply, he was a legend. He will be sorely missed because he was also family.

A statement from CBS added: “We are deeply saddened by the passing of David McCallum and privileged that CBS was his home for so many years, David was a gifted actor and author, and beloved by many around the world. He led an incredible life, and his legacy will forever live on through his family and the countless hours on film and television that will never go away.”
We would miss his fascinating anecdotes from a life well lived, as well as his warmth and charming sense of humor that brightened each room or studio he came onto. Our thoughts and prayers are with Katherine, his spouse, and their whole family, as well as everyone who knew and loved David.”
