The cast of Tulsa King Season 3 has begun to fill out as production gets underway in Atlanta and Oklahoma. Robert Patrick and Beau Knapp have joined the Taylor Sheridan-created Paramount+ series as series regulars.
According to Deadline, Patrick will play Jeremiah Dunmire, a powerful, forceful man with deep pockets in the liquor business, with Knapp playing the character’s son, Cole Dunmire, a trust-fund country boy with crazy in his eyes. Patrick is best known for portraying the T-1000, an advanced, shape-shifting Terminator composed of liquid metal, in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) as well as for his roles in the television series The X-Files, Scorpion, Peacemaker, and Reacher. As for Knapp, he was a main cast member on the recently concluded CBS/Paramount+ military drama series SEAL Team and also appeared in the 2024 movie The Bikeriders.
The casting comes less than a week after Tulsa King’s Season 3 renewal announcement and the start of production. With a new season, comes a new showrunner, as executive producer Dave Erickson has taken over as sole showrunner on Tulsa King. He succeeds Terence Winter, who was the showrunner on the first season of Tulsa King. While Season 2 never had an official showrunner, Winter and director Craig Sizk essentially split the duties typically associated with the role.
Tulsa King Is Sylvester Stallone’s First Scripted TV Series
Tulsa King marks Stallone’s first leading role in a scripted television series. The actor portrays Dwight “the General” Manfredi in the series, a New York mafia capo who, in the first season, is unceremoniously exiled by his boss after being released from a 25-year stint in prison to set up a criminal organization in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds his own crew to help him establish a new criminal empire in Tulsa. In the second season, Dwight and his crew encounter new enemies after encroaching on nemesis territory in Tulsa.
Besides Stallone, Tulsa King stars Andrea Savage, Martin Starr, Jay Will, Max Casella, Domenick Lombardozzi, Vincent Piazza, A. C. Peterson, Garrett Hedlund, and Dana Delany. Neal McDonough and Frank Grillo were among the new additions to the Season 2 cast.
Paramount+ ordering another season of Tulsa King wasn’t entirely surprising given its strong relationship with Sheridan, who has created six other successful shows for the streamer. Tulsa King Season 2 was also a major ratings hit for Paramount+, with the premiere episode alone garnering 21.1 million views. This was enough to make it the most-watched global premiere ever for Paramount+.
While plot details remain under wraps for Tulsa King Season 3, Starr revealed earlier this month that he had read the first two scripts for the new season. “I can’t tell you anything that I’ve read in those episodes, but I am excited. The new season is going to be a lot of fun. It looks already like there’s going to be a lot of action, and there are some loose ends that may or may not get tied up,” he teased.
Seasons 1 and 2 of Tulsa King are streaming on Paramount+.
