It is believed that PK, the spouse of Dorit Kemsley, owes the state of California and the Internal Revenue Service almost $1 million in back taxes.
The pair on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been struggling financially for a while, but they seldom ever seem to talk about it on the show, which showcases the cast members’ opulent lifestyles.
According to a report from The U.S. Sun, PK owes $986,887 in unpaid taxes to the Internal Revenue Service and the state of California.
The outlet says Dorit herself still owes $90,000, even though she paid off a great sum of debt earlier in 2023 after PK paid off $2.27 million to the Bellagio casino in Las Vegas.
The U.S. Sun also obtained court docs showing that Dorit paid off an IRS tax lien that totaled $635,887 for her 2015 taxes with PK.
She was cleared of her debt after a March 16, 2023 certificate of release was filed for her federal lien, though she reportedly has not paid off her tax debt from 2017 and 2018.
According to a tax lien filed in June 2021, Dorit owes an additional $90,269 to the IRS. This amount is small, however, in comparison to PK’s alleged debt.
According to court documents, PK has not repaid $986,887. According to reports, he owes the IRS $230,965 for his 2014 taxes and $58,458 for his 2016 taxes. In addition, the spouse owes the state of California $293,222 for taxes paid in 2014–2015 and $404,242 for taxes paid in 2016.
For $6.5 million in 2019, PK and Dorit purchased an Encino home. The mansion is about 9,000 square feet, with six bedrooms and ten bathrooms.
The previous house was sold for $7.2 million by the couple after Dorit was robbed at gunpoint.
Dorit talked candidly about her post-invasion PTSD during the season 13 teaser. She informed PK, “You don’t understand the severity of the PTSD.”
Her husband responded, “There are elements I understand. There are also elements I consider more obnoxious.”
