On Wednesday night’s Watch What Happens Live, Garcelle Beauvais discussed the circulating rumors about Dorit Kemsley and Paul “PK” Kemsley’s marriage and provided an update on her 16-year-old son, Jax Nilon.
In response to her and Jax’s tearful beach scene, the 56-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star also discussed Erika Jayne’s difficulties in expressing empathy, disclosed the unexpected Real Housewives cast member from a different series with whom she is friends, and addressed Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith’s breakup.
“Shocked,” Garcelle proclaimed of Will and Jada on the November 1 episode of WWHL.
Then, when Andy Cohen, 55, asked what Sheree Zampino, 55, thought, she wouldn’t say a word, telling him she’s “not saying anything.”
As for the Housewife she’s friends with that may surprise fans, Garcelle named Teresa Giudice, 51.
“Teresa’s been really great. I met her at BravoCon last year. She sends me texts, she’s very supportive. She’s very very cool,” Garcelle gushed.
Moving on to the latest episode of RHOBH, Garcelle said it was “really interesting” to watch the scene with Erika and her therapist, during which Erika asked how to have empathy.
“She asked that question in a really interesting scene, and I’m glad she’s working on herself because you think everyone has empathy, especially if it’s someone you’re close to,” Garcelle said.
Furthermore, Garcelle acknowledged that witnessing Erika’s struggles had increased Andy’s empathy for her castmate.
Yes, she answered. “I don’t think she realizes you should have empathy for other people because I think she’s been on the defensive for so long. But this season, I thought she had kind of turned a corner.
Regarding her premiere episode scene with Jax, Garcelle it was “brutal” to hear his parenting concerns.
“I had to recover when it first happened and then seeing the clips, now I’m recovering again and it’s hard. It’s hard and yesterday he texted me and I was like, ‘The show’s coming out tonight. How do you feel and he said, ‘Mom, we’re in such a better place. I love you so much.’ And I was like, ‘Can you tweet that? Can you tell the world?’” she shared.
But while the scene was hard to relive, Garcelle noted that she was happy to see Jax be so open.
She said, “As a child, I would never have had the courage or the words to talk to my mom like that.”
Additionally, Garcelle said on WWHL that she was taken aback by the reports, which Dorit and PK have refuted, that they would be divorcing.
Startled. I’m shocked and depressed as I know Dorit that She will be devastated if it turns out to be true,” said Garcelle.
