Lisa Rinna wasn’t kidding when she said of Sutton Stracke, “She’s rich honey, she’s rich!”
The 52-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, who is the father of her three children, reportedly made out well in her divorce from her ex-husband Christian Stracke, who agreed to give her a six-figure support settlement, a $1.2 million lump sum, and much, much more after they called it quits on their 16-year marriage in 2016.
In the opening segment of RHOBH season 13, Sutton talked about her breakup with Christian and claimed that she lost her work to concentrate on raising their family, which “diminished” her financial power, even though she and Christian were married on “equal footing” in May 2000.
“This became here’s your allowance,” she recalled. “I realized, wow, I allowed that to happen. I will never allow that to happen again.”
Sutton also mentioned spousal support.
“They come with an anchor. I’m not going to give that up… but I don’t want the anchor. I don’t want it. I want complete freedom,” she explained.
Days later, on October 27, Radar Online shared details of Sutton and Christian’s 2018 divorce judgment, noting that in addition to a massive wine collection and Andy Warhol prints, Sutton was awarded $50,000 per month in child support for her three kids, Porter, James, and Philip, and $300,000 more per month in spousal support — until she dies.
Christian said that they split up on May 31, 2016, while she stated that it was later. This occurred during their breakup in 2016. They disagreed on the date, but they nevertheless decided to divide Christian’s art collection, and Christian gave Sutton a one-time payment of $1.235 million.
He reportedly promised to give Sutton two residences, one in Georgia and one in Los Angeles, which she ostensibly sold in 2020 after listing it for just under $9 million. Sutton also received three cars, a Cadillac, a 2015 Chevy Suburban, and a Range Rover.
Sutton was then given a bank account with $86,000, her clothes, jewelry, and couture, split interest in two minor league baseball teams, and a checking account with $800,000.
Meanwhile, Christian was awarded several bank accounts with over $1.4 million, half of a retirement account with over $500,000, and half interest in their many businesses. In addition, he was allowed to keep their West African artisanal crafts, leather pieces, and fabrics, and an apartment in Venice, Italy that he bought after their split, as well as a 2015 Vespa Motor scooter, a Mexican wood sculpture, and three collectible ritual masks.
In addition, Christian promised to add to the $3 million trust that they established for their children, of whom they shared joint legal and physical custody, as part of the terms of their divorce settlement.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
