Sister Wives season 18 has seen moments from the personal lives of the Brown family, including some tension-filled scenes at Salsa Brava restaurant.

With some of the Brown family’s most dramatic events occurring outside of their homes and in public places like the Salsa Brava restaurant, Sister Wives season 18 has taken the Brown family to entirely new emotional terrain. The majority of Sister Wives season 18 has always been shot in the residences of the Brown family, who have been upfront and honest about their lives from the start of the series. It has been challenging for Kody Brown to openly discuss his relationships with the women he has married in plural, especially with the level of attention that comes from being transparent about their family. As Kody’s interactions with his wives have evolved over time, the blowback has been harsher.

After Christine Brown’s departure on Sister Wives season 17, Janelle Brown and Meri Brown followed suit and left Kody with just Robyn Brown as his only remaining wife. While Robyn has never wanted a monogamous relationship, she’s found herself in one with Kody at the moment being. As things have been difficult with the Browns at home with everyone moving around, there are times when Sister Wives requires an alternate location to film. For some time, a favored spot of the family’s has been used in the series when they aren’t able to film at one of their homes.

Salsa Brava Is A Mexican Restaurant In Flagstaff

One of the most recognizable locations from Sister Wives season 18 is Salsa Brava, a local Mexican restaurant in Flagstaff, Arizona where the Brown family lives. Though they have homes in Flagstaff they could film at, it is often easier for them to meet at a neutral location for some of the mor difficult conversations they need to have. Salsa Brava is kind enough to allow Sister Wives to film, typically allowing them the privacy of the entire restaurant in order to keep things quiet surrounding the plot lines of the series.

Kody & Christine’s Awkward Sister Wives Season 18 Reunion Was At Salsa Brava

The first meeting between Christine and Kody after she left the family and relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah, was one of the pivotal moments of the early episodes of Sister Wives season 18. It was far more convenient for them as co-parents for Kody and Christine to meet for dinner instead of her going to Kody and Robyn’s. They were having a difficult conversation, but they were able to do so more easily because they were in a private room at Salsa Brava. Although they had a cordial talk, it was comforting to know that they were both on an equal footing in case it had been uncomfortable.

The Brown Family Are Big Fans Of Salsa Brava

Salsa Brava is one of the family’s preferred dining establishments, despite being one of the few in the Flagstaff region who felt comfortable closing off significant amounts of their space for filming. Long before Sister Wives entered their lives, the family reportedly ate several large meals at the restaurant together. The Sister Wives cast like the atmosphere for gatherings even though they frequently congregate there to talk over difficult situations.

Sister Wives airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EDT on TLC.
