Sister Wives star Meri Brown is single and thriving after ending her three-decade marriage to Kody Brown even if her current job is controversial.

Apart from her position as a reality TV celebrity, Meri Brown from Sister Wives engages in other side projects. The first of Kody Brown’s four marriages is Meri. In April 1990, the man who practiced polygamy wed her. Meri grew up in a Utah polygamous household. Meri was 19 and Kody was 22 when they got married, and their sister, who introduced them, was good friends with her. Meri’s brother was divorced by Janelle Brown, who later became Kody’s second wife. Meri felt abandoned and uncared for as Kody successively married two other women.

Meri and Kody have appeared in every one of the 18 seasons of Sister Wives. Meri, a single mother, and Kody had a formal divorce in 2014, but they continued to be spiritually together since he desired to engage in polygamy. As attempts at reconciliation through treatment proved unsuccessful, Meri announced in December 2022 that her thirty-two-year marriage to Kody was over. Meri’s life took an unexpected turn, and she found herself struggling to make sense of it all. Meri, who is unmarried, has been doing well for herself in 2023, but she still wants to know where she will end up.

Meri Was Fired From Mental Health Industry Job

Before Meri became a reality TV star, she used to work in the mental health industry. Meri was studying psychology and worked with at-risk youth. Meri reportedly lost the job once Sister Wives debuted on September 26, 2010. Meri’s employer was apparently aware of her polygamist marriage. However, according to InTouch, Meri’s overnight fame due to the show allegedly became “too much” for her former employer. “They felt that they needed to protect the company, I think,” Meri said during an interview on The Oprah Winfrey Show. “It actually makes me really sad because I loved my job. It breaks my heart, definitely. … But I understand where they’re coming from,” she added.
