As she responds to the RHOBH Season 13 trailer, Teddi Mellencamp reveals the reason Kyle Richards tattooed the letter “K” on his rumored girlfriend Morgan Wade. On a recent edition of her podcast, Teddi Mellencamp explained why Kyle Richards tattooed the first letter of her name on suspected lover Morgan Wade.
Teddi, 42, responded to the shocking moment and explained why she doesn’t think the symbol is that big of a deal after the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 trailer showed Kyle, 54, tattooing Morgan, 28, amid rumors of a romance and during her separation from Mauricio Umansky, 53.
On the October 11 episode of Two Ts In A Pod, via Heavy, Teddi revealed she actually spoke with Kyle on the day she did the tattoo. And, during the conversation, Kyle told her that she and the country singer thought her “K” tattoo was “so funny.”
“The reason they put a ‘K’ is – the reason Kyle put a ‘K’ was because then she could add anything else she wanted to it. They thought it would be a funny joke,” Teddi shared. “But then, of course, it now has metamorphosed into so much more.”
As for why Teddi wasn’t super impacted by the ink, she told listeners that Morgan’s “K,” which is located on her arm, is one of many.
Teddi remarked, “[She is] not really fussy about the tattoos she’s placing on her body. If I had the letter “K” tattooed on my body, it could raise more suspicion than someone who has, oh, over 100 tattoos.
Along with sporting a “K” in Kyle’s honor, Morgan and the RHOBH cast member have matching heart tattoos. However, Kyle defended their identical tattoos while out with Teddi during the summer, telling Page Six that Morgan isn’t the only person she has matching tattoos with.

“[Teddi and I] have matching tattoos, too, she’s not the only one,” Kyle stated of Morgan.
Even while Kyle still hangs out with Morgan, the two recently went on a “very intimate” date at a cafe in Paris, Morgan has refuted rumors that the two are dating. In response to the rumors circulating about his ex-wife and Morgan, Mauricio said to Extra TV earlier this month that he didn’t think Kyle was having an extramarital affair with the artist.
“I don’t believe there was any affairs or anything like that, so I don’t believe that at all. I don’t believe that, yeah, period, end of story,” he stated.
As for the RHOBH trailer, Mauricio told E! News he felt certain events were “dramatized.”
“I don’t want to watch it because the reality is Kyle and I know where we stand today,” he explained. “We know where we are and it’s been super dramatized and I know that. It has to be in order to be entertaining and capture people’s attention for television.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 premieres Wednesday, October 25, at 8/7c on Bravo.
