There is no denying that the Real Housewives franchise offers a unique brand of drama. The brand has had innumerable unforgettable moments throughout the years with more than a dozen spin-offs. A big part of what makes the program so entertaining to watch is the fact that many of its stars have a propensity for drama.
There have been instances, though, where the women totally overreacted and made a huge issue out of something that wasn’t all that significant. The next four incidents rank among the most dramatic in Real Housewives history, yet we don’t think the situation called for such strong emotions!
Candiace Dillard Pulled a Butter Knife On Ashley Darby
One of the pettiest Real Housewives arguments took place during the fourth season of Real Housewives Of Potomac, between Ashley Darby and Candiace Dillard. The two women had been arguing nonstop for weeks, although they finally reached their breaking point during a dinner at Candiace’s home.
Candiace had been questioning Ashley on her efforts to get pregnant, and even asked her if she had been drinking which could hinder the process. Candiace even took things a step further by trying to tell Ashley that her husband had not cried after they suffered a miscarriage. This was very out of line of Candiace, as these questions were not appropriate for a group dinner setting.
When Ashley attempted to defend herself, Candiace completely overreacted. Candiace began pointing her knife at Ashley, and eventually stood up and yelled at her to get out of her house. Candiace became enraged when Ashley briefly mentioned her mother, which caused her to completely flip out. In this situation, Candiace was clearly in the wrong, so this reaction from her was not justified at all.
Teresa Giudice’s Infamous Table Flip On RHONJ
Even though Teresa Giudice’s table-flipping sequence is among the most enduring in Real Housewives Of New Jersey history, it was also fairly pointless. Danielle Staub and Teresa immediately became at odds during a formal sit-down meal. Teresa and Danielle got into a verbal fight, and Danielle told Teresa to “pay attention,” which only made things worse.
As Teresa screamed insults at Danielle in a rage, she also started shaking and flipping the table repeatedly. Teresa had to be led from the room, but she didn’t stop yelling at Danielle until she was no longer audible.
This was completely unprofessional of Teresa, and it was not a classy look. While Danielle did have a reputation as a villain on RHONJ, ultimately, Teresa should have been the better person and should not have had such a big reaction to her comment to pay attention.
Lisa Rinna Smashing the Wine Glass On RHOBH
Lisa Rinna and Kim Richards had an infamous feud on Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, which eventually boiled over during a girls trip to Amsterdam. The women were all out at a nice dinner when Lisa began stirring the pot. Lisa began hinting at Kim’s prior issues with addiction, which understandably infuriated Kim.
Kim tried to resolve the situation verbally by warning Lisa that she did not want her to spill any secrets about her and her husband. While this was not the best thing Kim could have said, it did not deserve the reaction it received from Lisa.
Lisa was angry beyond words at this point, and reached across the table attempting to grab Kim. When some of the other women began to hold her back, Lisa proceeded to throw her wine at Kim and then smashed the glass on the table. This was just embarrassing behavior from Lisa, which was completely unnecessary given that she had started the issue with Kim.
NeNe Leakes Grabbing a Producer On RHOA
While she occasionally went beyond, NeNe Leakes was without a doubt one of the most entertaining women on Real Housewives of Atlanta. Unexpectedly, one of NeNe’s wildest episodes on the show involved a producer who unintentionally got caught up in the mayhem. When NeNe observed producers pursuing Porsha Williams and Kandi Burruss into her closet, she grew enraged. What followed next was unparalleled. The producer was definitely taken aback when NeNe raced after them and grabbed them by the shirt.
This was not a good decision on NeNe’s part, as she should have left the production team out of her issues with her fellow cast members. While the other women going into her closet was certainly not ok, it did not warrant the physically aggressive reaction that NeNe gave either.
