Tom most recently made an appearance in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, although director Christopher McQuarrie revealed that Tom wasn’t happy with some elements of earlier Mission: Impossible films. The filmmaker said of himself and Tom before the impending Dead Reckoning Part Two, “Tom and I are constantly re-evaluating our own work and asking ourselves how we could have done it better.”
“We’ve performed underwater scenes before. The film’s director noted, “We worked underwater in Edge of Tomorrow and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, and we left there quite unsatisfied with those sequences.
Christopher added, “The biggest being, not having real knowledge in that area. Everything you’re looking at in Dead Reckoning is the application of knowledge from previous sequences.”
