Fatty’s Pizza on Cherry Street boasted some new signage this week as it transformed into “Fatty’s NYC Pizza” ahead of an appearance on a hit crime drama. “Tulsa King,” a series created by Taylor Sheridan on Paramount+ and starring Sylvester Stallone, follows a mafia caporegime who is sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to set up a criminal organization after being freed from prison. The series was making preparations for filming in downtown Macon Wednesday afternoon. Signs posted on traffic cones in the Fatty’s parking lot and bearing Tulsa King Season 3 letterhead apologized to customers and neighboring businesses for blocking portions of the street and inconvenience caused by filming. According to the letter, Cherry Street between Cotton Avenue and Second Street was set to be closed from about 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday for filming. A portion of Second Street from Cherry Street to Mulberry Street was also expected to be closed at that time. “King Streets Productions Inc. will be using scenes for an upcoming television show in your area,” the letter read. “We will help ensure any and all residents and deliveries will make it through without issue.” King Streets Productions is the production company that produced Tulsa King’s second season and is currently listed as producing its third season, according to the Film & Television Industry Alliance.
